Bank of Mongolia's Governor visits Washington University of Science and Technology

Students of Washington University of Science and Technology have come from many countries of the world to study here. So far, students from 121 countries have studied at this university. Some of them are students from Mongolia.

LKhagvasuren Byadran, governor of the Bank of Mongolia, the East Asian country, recently visited the United States. He was attending the Annual General Meeting of the World Bank here. 

During this time, he came to the campus of Washington University of Science and Technology, a university where a good number of Mongolian students are enrolled. 

The Governor of The Bank of Mongolia exchanged views with the University's Chancellor and Board Chairman Engineer Abubokor Hanip, The University's President Dr Hasan Karaburk and the director of school of business, Professor Mark Robinson. 

Bayardavaa Bayarsaikhan, Director General of Monetary Policy affairs of the bank and Munkhabayar Tsedevsuren, member of the Monetary Policy Committee of the bank, accompanied the Governor. 

During the meeting, they inquired about the education of Mongolian students. And discussed how to cooperate on behalf of the country for the students. 

Abubokor Hanip told the Mongolian delegation that the best students from Mongolia are already getting scholarships based on their results. Besides, skill-based education is being ensured so that they can enter the work directly after completing their education. 

President Dr. Hasan Karaburk said the university has students from diversified culture. It needs to be further enhanced. 

"We want more students from Mongolia to come here because this university is affordable," said Hassan Karaburk. 

The Governor of the Bank of Mongolia thanked the authorities of The Washington University of Science and Technology. And in the future more students will come here from Mongolia to study, he hoped.
