WUST graduation ceremony held in US with Bill Clinton's greetings

Virginia, USA - The graduation ceremony of Washington University of Science and Technology (WUST), the only American university under the management of Bangladeshi entrepreneur Eng. Abubokor Hanip, took place on June 17 at the esteemed Virginia George C. Marshall High School.

The event was celebrated with great enthusiasm as 76 students from various countries graduated from the university. Notably, former US President Bill Clinton sent a special message to the graduates, emphasizing their responsibility in shaping the future.

Bob J. Nash, a former administrative officer of the Clinton administration, delivered the message from President Clinton to the graduates. In his letter, Clinton urged the students to embrace their role as leaders in guiding the ever-changing world toward the right path. The students were deeply inspired by the message and were grateful for the recognition and encouragement from the former president.

The graduation ceremony was graced by the presence of former US Representative Jim Moran, who served as the chief guest and delivered the keynote address. Additionally, Virginia's state senator, Chap Petersen, attended as the guest speaker, further enhancing the significance of the event.

The ceremony commenced at 2:00 PM, as the graduates, adorned in their gowns and hats, paraded into the venue and took their designated seats. Accompanied by university officials and faculty members, the stage was set for an unforgettable celebration. Chancellor Abubakar Hanip, in his speech, shared the story of his life, emphasizing the challenges and perseverance required to achieve success.

He advised the graduates that the journey ahead would not be without obstacles, but with determination and unwavering effort, they would find success.

Farhana Hanip, the Chief Financial Officer of the university, highlighted the significance of familial traditions within academia and expressed that the students of Washington University of Science and Technology would find a supportive and nurturing environment on campus.

The momentous occasion proceeded with the distribution of degrees to each student. Professor Dr. Paul Apostolos Agaspolis, the director of the School of Information Technology, presented the certificates to the graduates of the IT program. Subsequently, Professor Dr. Mark Robinson, the director of the School of Business, awarded the certificates to the Business School graduates.

The Master of the Ceremony, Rachel Rose, concluded the event on behalf of the university's administration, expressing pride in the achievements of the graduating students and extending congratulations to them.

Established in 2008, Washington University of Science and Technology has become a leading institution in the United States under the leadership of Bangladeshi-American entrepreneur and Eng. Abubokor Hanip. It is the first fully-fledged university in the country to be managed by a Bangladeshi-American.

With over 1,500 students from 121 countries, including a significant number of Bangladeshi students, the university offers programs in information technology, cybersecurity, and MBA, attracting a diverse and global student body.

The graduation ceremony at Virginia George C. Marshall High School was not only a celebration of academic achievements but also a testament to the vision and dedication of the university's management. It provided an opportunity for the graduates to reflect on their accomplishments and embrace the responsibilities that lie ahead as they venture into a rapidly evolving world.
