Washington University of Science and Technology- WUST has signed two Memorandum of Understanding-MoUs on Tuesday with Mongolia's Global Leadership University-GLU and Ulaanbaatar City's Sukhbaatar District.
WUST Chairman and CEO Abubokor Hanip signed both the documents on behalf of WUST while GLU Founder and President Mr. Otganbat Barkhu and Sukhbatar District Chairman Nkhobold Bukhchulun signed on behalf of their own institutions.
Mr. Barkhu and Mr. Bukhchulun were leading a 16-member delegation from Mongolia.
When the delegation reached the campus in the morning, they were welcomed by Dr. Hasan Karabruk, president of Washington University of Science and Technology.
Chancellor Engineer Abubokor Hanip welcomed and spoke to the leaders of the delegation in his room.
Later, all gathered in the conference room where the university professor Dr. Mark Robinson gave a presentation on leadership to the members of the delegation.
He discussed the qualities of successful leadership and other aspects of social and educational demographics.
Jose Ortega, marketing director of the university, gave a presentation highlighting the education and scholarship programs of the university.
Later, WUST Chancellor Abubokor Hanip in his speech expressed his hope to take the cooperation to a new level. He highlighted how WUST is bringing industry knowledge in the classroom settings and preparing its students ready for the present world of work.
Dr. Hasan Karburk highlighted the goals and modality of teaching of WUST and said that such a university is expected for any student.
President of GLU Mr. Otganbat Barkhu and Sukhbatar District Chairman Nkhobold Bukhchulun thanked the university authorities for their hospitality. And invited them to visit Mongolia.
Farhana Hanip, CFO of WUST, thanked everyone and said that the signing of this agreement will play a major role in strengthening the future cooperation and relationship.
Later, members of the delegation toured the campus of Washington University of Science and Technology and joined a luncheon.
