WUST graduation convocation 2022 on June 18

The graduation convocation 2022 of Washington University of Science and Technology-WUST in Virginia, USA will be held on Saturday, June 18. Dr. Ryan Saadi, President and CEO of Tevogen Bio, one of the successful medical researchers in the field of cancer, will be the keynote speaker at the event. The chief guest will be Jeffrey C. McCay, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of Fairfax County, Virginia.Chancellor and CEO of the university, a successful Bangladeshi American entrepreneur Engineer Abubokor Hanip will give the introductory speech while University President Dr. Hassan Karaburk will confer the degrees of the passing out students. As the Master of Ceremony, the program will be convened by professor Dr. Mark L. Robinson, Director of the School of Business of WUST while Dr. Aniva Zaman, Senior Producer and Correspondent at WPLG will be anchoring. A good number of Bangladeshi-Americans who have been successful in their respective fields in the United States will join the convocation as the guests of honor. IT professionals and entrepreneurs, teachers, doctors, lawyers, businessmen will grace the occasion by their participation. Professor Apostolos Eliopoulos, Director of the University's School of IT, Mrs Farhana Hanip, Chief Financial Officer, Dr. Zafer Pirim, Vice President of Education and Dr. Shan Cho, Vice President of Operations and Registrar will join. At this graduation, nearly five hundreds of university students will receive certificates from the Washington University of Science and Technology-WUST. Students will join with their family members in this graduation convocation. To be held at the auditorium of George C. Marshall High School in Tyson's Corner, Virginia, the graduation convocation will start at 2 pm on the day and will continue till 5 pm. University authorities have already completed all the preparations for the convocation. There is excitement among the students who are now waiting to enter the world of work after passing the university about their graduation and certification. They have already collected their convocation gowns. Convocation is one of the most important days for a student to celebrate his / her graduation. Washington University of Science and Technology wants to make the day memorable for each of the students, said the chancellor of the University, Engineer Abubokor Hanip. "We are getting Ryan Saadi, a renowned medical researcher from Bangladesh, as the keynote speaker at this convocation. I hope his speech will be instructive, encouraging and future-oriented for the students.” University’s President Dr. Hassan Karaburk said the convocation of the university could not be organized last three years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Graduates of all those years will also be taking their certificates in this convocation. All the preparations have been completed and I hope this year's graduation will be memorable for the students. President Dr. Hasan urged the students to attend the graduation convocation along with their families. The university has recently been renamed from Iglobal University-IGU to Washington University of Science and Technology- WUST. All the graduates will receive their certificates from the Washington University of Science and Technology-WUST. Founded in 2008 the university is currently managed and led by a successful Bangladeshi entrepreneur in the United States Engineer Abubokor Hanip. It is the first full-fledged university in the United States being run by a Bangladeshi American. At present more than 600 students are studying in Information Technology, Cyber Security at Masters and Bachelor level and MBA-BBA courses. Students from 121 countries around the world have either graduated from this university or are currently studying.

IGU is now WUST
